Once home to three prominent racetracks, Gravesend in Brooklyn, on the southwest edge of Long Island, is notable for having been founded by a woman, Lady Deborah Moody. It is an exciting kind of neighborhood. The Adventurer’s Family Entertainment Center is a mid-size amusement park frequented by families and people of all ages, and Empire City Watersports offers jet ski tours of the Statue of Liberty, Coney Island and other places of interest.
So we embraced this enthusiastic vibe and went into an apartment to refinish an old wood floor before a new resident moved in. This kind of project is a dust generator of mega proportions, so we clean everything, don our suits, caps and masks and got to work. Once sanded, smoothed and inspected, we vacuum everywhere. Before applying the Bona Natural finish, our team covers the space with tack cloth to remove any errant flakes of dust that evaded the vacuum process.
We have done this so many times that we never back ourselves into a corner, but apply the coats from the inside of any room moving backward. Bona is a leader in durable, clear, low odor products renowned for showcasing the natural grain of high quality wood floors. Each kind of floor finish is meticulously developed to be environmentally friendly and penetrate and bond with wood fibers. The result always pairs the look of luxury with the feel of nature. And you can slide around in your socks, or do your sliding down the Fun Slide at the amusement park. Or both.
