Installing or refinishing hardwood floors is a monumental undertaking in a furnished home, and we so totally love forward-thinking people who brilliantly have their floors renovated before they move in the furniture. This East Flatbush neighborhood in Brooklyn is anchored in part with the public library on Church Street, which opened in 1945. After a marvelous renovation two years ago, it has become a veritable community center patronized heavily by local children and young families.
The residences offer an eclectic mix of interesting single-family homes, multi-family buildings, studios and townhouses. Hardwood floors are common in many of these structures, and these floors decidedly needed some love.
